HOYA CORPORATION PENTAX Imaging Systems Division is pleased to announce the launch of the PENTAX K-x, a new lens-interchangeable digital SLR camera with Sparkling, eye-catching multi-colored body (avialable in Red, Blue, White & Black) and lens. The K-x design is based on the PENTAX K-m, an entry-class digital SLR camera launched in October 2008 that early on gained popularity for its compact, lightweight body and simple, user-friendly operations. This new model come with advanced features such as Live View function and high-quality movie recording.Its compact, lightweight body also enhances portability and maneuverability, making it ideal for many different photographic occasions.

Things to Improve.

1. The battery
Same as other AA batteries Pentax cameras, they are very powerful with the supplied
Lithium AA 1.5V batteries (1900 shots made by those Lithium), but it does drain really fast on those commonly use rechargeable 1.2V AA Ni-MH batteries. If you are a heavy user for Pentax K-x Camera live view and Movie mode functions, please always have extra set batteries for back up as both of the functions drain out your battery.

2. 2.7 LCD
Not to criticised it LCD but if it is 3.0", the camera will become perfect.Just my opinion.
