Farewell Lions
After watching today world cup 2010 group c match between England and Algeria.I'm totally dissapointed with England performance.I'm a diehard England fans since i know the game of football.I don't know why i choose England.May be it is because i'm familiar with the players and the team as i like to watch English Premier League Football.I watch almost every single game when England play.Like many other fans, it cheers me up when England win.
But today match against Algeria,it was really a shameful display from one of the best team in the world. Being a die heart fan of england I don't know what was wrong with english players such as wayne, lennon,lampard and etc. With a bunches of "Super Stars" playing in a team but still end up scoring only 1 goal in their first 2 world cup matches? I'm totally speechless and please give me a good reason why i should not give up my loyalty and support to a team like this. Althought Spain lost their 1st match to Switzerland, Germany lost their 2nd game to Serbia but both team showed some possession domination in the game and can successfully pass and control the ball around.It is totally different to what England was doing - rushing and kicking the ball aimlessly and keep losing pocession. The worst part is England Midfield is almost no creativity at all.They played like a primary school squard. There was totally no confidence that they can win the match. They played very offensive football.
Why is the Lions toothless?
Teamwork?
They are team of individuals and not a cohesive unit.Most of them play well for the club but not for their own country.Why is that? May be because they are not being paid.The country should issues each of every England player in the team with a pay check which is similar to what they get when playing for a club. Remember, in weekly basic. You just need to pay for 4 weeks and the team will be back with a trophy that you are long waiting for.
Players (Capello Problems)
Heskey
Why he is Capello first 11 choice.He is old and slow.Allergic to shooting.He take the shoot when he is suppose to pass.He Pass the ball when he is suppose to shoot.Heskey is slowing down the game momentum.From Ericson to Mclaren to Capello, Heskey is still there.England do not have a striker that capable to replace Heskey?
Rooney
He is not in his form plus the lack of creativity in the English midfiled-end up he become invisible.
Gareth Barry
He is lost. Help him.
Frank Lampard
Try not to use lampard, its just a name, names don't make you win the cup.The Spanish Galatico-Real Madrid is an real life example. Try Michael Carrick.
Lennon

Steven Gerrard
Why don't pair up Steven Gerrad and Michael Carrick in the Centre Midfield with Joe Cole playing on the left.

Algeria
Algeria's players are better in skills, organization, more creative and more talented than England Player.Too bad they didn't score. They deserved the 3 point.
England
England is strong in players' image promotion.The English press makes heros out of English players and make them out to be superstars. But again, compare them to the superstars of other countries. There is no place for them in team like Brazil, Spain, Germany, Italy. Look at the bright side,England is recruiting million of die heart fans from all around the world (Including me)to support the team. They make billion of money from selling Jerseys. Thanks to the Press.
Homesick?
They missed home especially their wife and girlfriends.They can't wait to have an early summer holiday with their loved one. Especially when they are doing this without a paycheck. We don't play for pride, pride did not help us to pay our bills.To pay for a brand new luxury house and car.
Summary:
Totally dissapointed. I'm not longer England supporter from now on,what is happening to England in world cup 2010 is not longer my concern. Let hope that USA,Algeria or Slovenia either 2 team will progress to the last 16 because they deserved it. Farewell my fellow Lions...and good luck.
