Nikon had recently introduced a new FX-format digital SLR camera with with the newly designed FX-format CMOS image sensor and HD movie capability, delivering improved ultra-high sensitivity, image quality and response speed features - The D3s.

ISO performance: ISO 12800 as standard, expandable to ISO equivalent of 102400 (Hi 3) Shooting as high as ISO 12800 and can be expands to the amazing ISO equivalent of 102400 when needed.It is an incredible advantage for shooting in the situation where light is limited and Speedlights are not applicable.

2. Large pixel pitch: the 12.1-megapixel FX-format advantageThe new sensor’s inner structure has been further optimized, with the pixel count and large pixel pitch maintained for even greater latitude in high ISO performance.

3. Lateral chromatic aberration reduction: edge-to-edge sharpnessThe D3S corrects color fringes caused by chromatic aberrations that, in some instances, can appear at the edges between differing subject elements.

4. Speed and readiness throughout the workflow Start-up time is approx. 0.12 seconds* and release time lag is minimized to approx. 0.04 seconds*. Nevertheless, the D3S’s increased buffer memory is twice as large as that of the D3’s.
